There
are many possible ways your organization can capture data:
printed forms sent through the mail, internet-based surveys,
email-based surveys, telephone surveys, and in-person surveys using a PDA or
tablet PC. Sentenium can design any type of form or survey
for any medium and has for many different types of organizations.
Unlike
some survey research and data processing vendors, in the print
realm, Sentenium offers both OMR (Optical Mark Recognition)
and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) options. With OMR,
you are able to capture marks, and with OCR, you are also
able to capture images and text. Should your research project
involve low- or high-volume scanning of printed forms, Sentenium
can explain the pros and cons of each technology and recommend
the best option given your specific requirements.
Sentenium’s flexibility allows your organization to take on whichever functions it desires in the survey process. For
example, other research and processing vendors may insist
on assuming the entire logistical process because their technology
and equipment require it. Our advanced technology
and equipment does not.
If
you want to print or mail your surveys on your own, working
with Sentenium, you can. Sentenium will design and set up the
survey forms and process them once you send the completed
surveys back to our facility. In
the case of printing, certain situations will require Sentenium to
handle the printing for quality assurance purposes. One example would be projects
involving OMR surveys because those surveys have special ink and paper
requirements.
Sentenium's
flexibility benefits organizations regardless of size. Larger
organizations may need survey research and data processing
help but don't need to outsource every stage of the cycle.
More significantly, smaller organizations who could not previously
afford these services now can afford them.
